I think that the best component of the slow carb diet concept is cheat days! My cheat day lands on each and every Saturday, simply because that is what works best for me personally. Nonetheless, cheat days can actually be any day of the week for you, based upon exactly how you choose to arrange your routine.
Now just for entertainment, let us take a brief walk through one of my most recent cheat day extravaganzas:
7:00 AM – Firstly, I start out with Athletic Greens, a fistful of dried edamame, a couple of hard boiled eggs, plus almond butter with broccoli (I know this could sound so weird, but it’s absolutely delicious)
8:30 AM – Fresh coffee (with Fructevia and organic vanilla soymilk) and brownies
10:00 AM – Two Philly Soft Pretzels (Did I point out that I love the slow carb diet?)
12:00 PM – Watermelon along with several Ritz crackers
1:30 PM – Ham and cheese sub with lettuce & green pepper, bbq chips, plus Coke Zero (although fake sugar is terrible, I just can’t help myself)
3:30 PM – 7 vanilla Oreo cookies
5:30 PM – KFC fried chicken breast, Arby’s roast beef sandwich, a couple of french fries, a biscuit, along with iced tea
6:00 PM – Black raspberry ice cream plus a cup cake
8:00 PM – A second Philly Soft Pretzel (they are best when fresh, so I do not want them to go to waste)
9:30 PM – Chocolate Popsicle and three frozen Reese’s peanut butter cups
It would be frightening to add up the calories on all of this, yet again that is another great part of the slow carb diet. Believe it or not, while this seems like a bunch (and it truly is), this is a fairly common cheat day for me.
So, you should rest assured that I will not be weighing myself the following morning after a cheat. In fact, I normally wait until Tuesday morning to weigh in for the 1st time following my Saturday cheat. Practically every seven days, even following the mind blowing cheat days, I am back down to my target weight on Tuesday morning, which is such a wonderful sensation.
Here are a couple of important comments:
1. During the course of the day, I complete the binge fighting exercises (air squats, arm band extensions, and push ups)
2. I ordinarily take a walk sometime throughout the day. This is nothing excessively strenuous; rather, just a brief, pleasant walk.
3. I do my best not to consume food until the degree that I feel ill, but it still happens at times to the best of us.
